Akufo-Addo can say nice things but he doesn't know how to killthem - Kwame Jantuah
CommissionerKwame Jantuah has described President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as a leader who says good things during speeches but lacks the ability to implement them properly.
Speaking on TV3 based in Accra, the lawyer said that the President is good at using beautiful words to woo the public and when it comes to the implementation of the law, he has failed. "He [referring to the president] can say these beautiful things, he can imitateothers but he doesn't know how to do them, it's sad. Why do we have to live where we are?"today, why? With all the natural resources we have in this country, why should we be where we are today,” he asked.
He went on to explain that the president has not shown commitment to reforming his economy because the reformers are still in power even though the economy is falling under the IMF program. "It is a leader who will lead if the leader has put some people in position. But if those people do not do something, you have to push them. Has he changed the cabinet since 2016, has he changed ministers since 2016? [Nyasa w) h) yi, eni nnpia baako trem i.e. people are not the storehouse of wisdom]. But you are trying to tell me that thosewho are there and those who are there this time and things are working. Does the city work? For him, the president passed the generation from the beginning of democracy to today, but he failed to use this skill to make the country prosper.
"How effective are we, this country is working? If it works,we won't have the kind of service numbers we have. We're not going to have an education system where you can't hire college graduates. I also say that President Akufo-Addo is a man who transcends all generations and should understand my father's generation, the generations from the time of governmentand now, he is a man who can unite this country ? No, the group is taking priority,” he added.
