Erik ten Hag has called for further strengthening his Manchester United squad after winning the right to return to the Champions League.
United's convincing 4-1 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford on Thursday secured a top-four spot with one game to spare.
The Red Devils face Fulham in their final Premier League game on Sunday before taking on Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
The Dutchman has his eyes on the next transfer window to close the gap between United and rivals Man City.
"This club belongs to the Champions League," said Ten Hag. "Finishing in the top four is the main goal. The competition is tough. There are a lot of teams with very good teams, good managers and high budgets.
"Right now it's the maximum but we want more and I don't have much patience. The standards have to go up. Manchester City play exceptional football but we still have a long way to go.
“In the summer we can work with the existing team, but we have to strengthen ourselves.
"It's hard to say at the moment, we have to see how the transfer window plays out, but obviously we need more than that.
“We want to win every game, but as I have just explained, it is very difficult here. There are very good teams, especially this season. Manchester City are playing very well. We are on the right track, but we still have a lot of work to do. It's a work in progress."

Ten Hag agrees that finishing in the top 4 can be seen as the equivalent of a trophy, but emphasizes that it alone is not enough for him.
"I think in this tournament being in the top four is a good base but yes, we want to compete for the title. But it has to be realistic. First, you can know when you have your team at the end of the transfer window... and you can tell if that's realistic," explained Ten Hag.
"Now we are far away so there is a lot of work to be done, we have improved with this team, with this team but we need better players if we want to compete at the top."
Ten Hag concludes:
“I think in the Premier League, yes, [top 4] is like [a trophy], it's the main goal of the season to get into the Champions League, so you have to see yourself in the top four. The competition is tough. , there are a lot of teams that have very good teams, good managers, so when you're there you've done a good job and your team plays well and behaves well and for the moment is max but we want more furthermore.
