Arne Slot, who had been mentioned in connection with the open head coach position at Spurs, on Friday agreed to a new contract with Feyenoord.
Ryan Mason maintains that the Tottenham position is still an appealing one despite another drawn-out search for the head coaching vacancy.
Another candidate for Antonio Conte's permanent replacement at Tottenham this week was eliminated after Feyenoord manager Arne Slot pledged his long-term future to the Eredivisie team before agreeing to a new contract on Friday.
Tottenham was interested in Slot, according to the PA news agency, but there were no direct negotiations with the 44-year-old.
Other coaches who have been connected to the position, such the head coach of Burnley Vincent Kompany and Bayer Leverkusen Xabi Alonso, have also committed their immediate futures to their current teams, but acting head coach Mason is under no illusions the top post at Spurs remains attractive.
When asked if the Tottenham post remained enticing, Mason responded, "Absolutely, sure.
"It's a big club, Tottenham Hotspur. not only for managers or coaches, but also for employees and athletes.
"Everyone in this room should feel honored and privileged to wear the badge. If not, they have no business being here. That is all there is to it.
Tottenham had a strong chance to qualify for the Champions League when Conte departed his role on March 26, but they now have a slim prospect of doing so when they visit relegation-threatened Leeds on Sunday.
Although playing in Europe is key for next season, Mason stressed that creating a plan remains the club's top priority.
"Obviously, that has consequences, and the football team doesn't want to be there. Our goal is to compete in Europe, the Spurs interim head coach said.
"Any European competition is important for a club of this size, but at the same time, the most important thing, regardless of whether we're in or out of Europe, is that there is a plan and there is commitment from everyone to that going forward."
Mason has regularly mentioned the necessity of dedication to the club over the past few weeks without going into detail.
