In an effort to avoid the relegation, Allardyce was inserted for the season's final four games by parachuting in.

After Sunday's final Premier League match of the year, Sam Allardyce has stated he will speak with Leeds' leadership about whether he will stay as manager.

After Leeds' final encounter against Tottenham at Elland Road, Allardyce dropped his greatest hint yet that he would be interested in keeping the job even if Leeds are demoted on the last day.

That would be decided at the very end, the former England manager added. We always agree that, depending on where we are at the conclusion of the season, we will talk about whatever is necessary.

"We'll wait and see, but also depending on what I believe the club needs to move forward, based on what the club believes, and if those are in line with one another.

But that conversation develops over time; it doesn't happen in the morning or in a single day. I just hope we're having a very pleasant conversation on a Monday morning when I'm hungover.

Leeds must defeat Tottenham in order to remain in the top flight, and even a victory won't be enough to save them should both relegation opponents, Everton and Leicester, have bad days.

Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo's injuries in last week's 3-1 loss at West Ham appeared to have dealt Leeds' chances of surviving another setback.

However, Bamford has not yet been ruled out, and Allardyce indicated he would be willing to take a chance with any of his injured players given the amount at stake if Rodrigo returned to training on Friday.

Allardyce stated, "I'll take a chance on anyone's fitness if they want to play and if I think they can contribute to helping us try to win the game.

"It's the last game, they will have plenty of time to recover, but there are obviously medical issues where playing them would put them at too great a risk, and much of it would be up to the player himself."
