A minor flaw can result in harm or even death.

The Ford Bronco's return after 24 years has not been easy due to a number of component issues. Recently, the company issued a warning to owners that improperly tightened lug nuts could cause the wheels to fall off. Due to a minor design flaw discovered on the seatbelt, the midsize SUV is currently the subject of another recall.

According to the NHTSA's report, there may not be enough space between the backrest and the interior trim to allow for easy access to the seatbelt latch plates for front-seat passengers.

In turn, passengers may become dissuaded from wearing safety belts, which could result in injuries or even death in an accident if they ignore the warning sound. Additionally, the report stated that the defective latch plates violated safety regulations, leading to the recall of 175,550 Ford Bronco vehicles.

According to Ford, there are 39,302 affected 2021 five-door Ford Broncos and 88,704 2022 models included in the recall. The remaining 47,544 units are the most recent models from 2023. Tenants will normally not get any guidance ahead of time because of the idea of the disappointment system.

Ford started an investigation into the issue on May 5, 2023. The Blue Oval is unaware of any related field reports or customer warranties. More importantly, the business did not present any reports of injuries or accidents connected to the problem.

To fix the issue, Passage or Lincoln vendors will introduce a sliding clasp hook stop (barrette cut) to the driver and front passenger safety belts. An addendum to the owner's manual detailing how to use the sliding clips will be provided to owners. Naturally, there is no charge for the service.

Portage will begin sending review letters to proprietors on June 30, 2023, and is supposed to be finished by July 6, 2023.

It seems like the organization actually couldn't find a break managing defective parts in the wake of giving a bigger number of reviews than some other automakers in the US the year before.
