Work and big projects in Kumawu are still going on -Ernest Yaw Anim 



The elected Member
 of Parliament for Kumawu Constituency, Ernest Yaw Anim,has denied allegations that contractors and major projects working in the constituency left the site after last Tuesday's election.

“When you arrived in Kumawu today; contractors are still on site. When you arrive in Besoro, the road is still under construction. There is a lot of activity going on in many other cycling communities. Kumawu District Senator Ernest Yaw Anim told Angel FM Kumasi in an interview attended by MyNewsGH.com. Ernest Yaw Anim's statement comes as the NPP government has beenaccused of canceling development projects it started a few weeks ago in the area which coincided with local elections. 

After
 the death of Kumawu MP Philip Basoah, the government started building roads and other major projects. One of them isthe Kumawu hospital which the NPP has received backlash from the NDC for letting it go. 

The media reported that
 the government has stopped the plans it started before the local elections, which were held on May 23, Tuesday. However, while speaking to Kwame Tanko on Angel FM, Mr. Ernest Yaw Anim insisted that work is still going on with governmentprojects that started before the election, adding that there is more to come. again not yet started. 

He also said that in the few weeks before the election, the government has dug 10 wells in different villages in his region. “We have provided 10 wells inthe last four weeks. A block of six classes will be built for the residents of Oyoko and another for Sekyere. For the first time in Kumawu, we have a STEM school in Besoro. The contractor will start work soon,” said Ernest Yaw Anim. ErnestYaw Anim of the NPP who is now the Member of Parliamentfor Kuamwu got 15,264 votes out of the total, Kwasi Amankwaa of the NDC got3,723 votes, Kwaku Duah the first independent got 2,478 votes while the second independent Kwaku Duah got votes 62.
