The Staggies' past four games resulted in seven points for them.
Malky Mackay is encouraged by Ross County's recent displays of tenacity as his club attempts to accomplish their imperative Premiership survival mission this weekend.
After losing 6-1 to Hearts in their final pre-split match five weeks ago, the Staggies appeared to be headed for automatic relegation as they lingered four points off the bottom of the table.
But they have responded well, moving ahead of Dundee United and preventing them from finishing last in the league unless there is an eight-goal swing in the Tayside club's favor. They have accrued seven points from their previous four games.
County is now in the relegation play-off zone and in 11th place, but if they defeat 10th-place Kilmarnock on Sunday, they will pass Derek McInnes' team and stay in the top division for another season.
Staggies manager Mackay stated, "I have a team here that is fighting and working so hard, and that will stand us in good stead for Sunday."
"We're going down there, and it will surely be a tough game. Although both clubs will be competing for the victory and I know Derek very well, we have given ourselves an excellent chance to remain in this league.
Wednesday's exciting home match against St. Johnstone was a showcase for County's spirit as they rallied from a 2-0 deficit to draw 3-3.
Mackay is hopeful that his squad can give their fans a unique day to celebrate the campaign's conclusion at Rugby Park.
The previous night, the fans were amazing, he said. "They have remained with the team in good times and bad.
"Our fans care the most about the badge because they can see the squad competing for it. To support us, I hope as many of them as possible travel to Kilmarnock.
Malky Mackay is inspired by Ross County's tenacity going into the season's climax.
