Prior to Sunday's match at the Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford manager Thomas Frank hailed Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola as the best coach of the modern period and an inspiration.
Guardiola has guided City to five Premier League titles, and they will try to continue that success in the FA Cup and Champions League finals later this month.
Frank, whose team defeated City in November, praised Guardiola's influence on the game and acknowledged that it has motivated him throughout his coaching career.
He is top-notch; following the match, he stated that Brentford's victory was well-deserved. I only encounter him when he conducts himself with dignity throughout, and I am eager to congratulate him on winning the League.
Pep Guardiola has been discussed widely, and for good reason. He has significantly advanced the game and is, in my opinion, the best coach working today.
I constantly watched and studied him while he was living in Barcelona. His art has influenced me, and he most certainly is an inspiration.
Erling Haaland, a record-breaking striker who scored 36 Premier League goals in his first season, will be a challenge for Brentford.
The 22-year-old's influence on English football since joining from Borussia Dortmund has been praised by Frank.
"Haaland added a different dimension to City, he is so good in the box," Frank continued.
It's quite uncommon for me to see a striker make four or five movements prior to the cross coming in, as evidenced by the goal that was disallowed against Brighton. He is constantly moving, which makes him hard to defend against. He is also always focused and thinks the ball will enter for every opportunity. He's a great finisher who can utilize his left foot, right foot, and header, but the best gift he's given them is the ability to go quickly behind the ball.I find his goal total, which has utterly decimated the Premier League and is certain to increase, to be quite outstanding.
“I am aware that he smashed the record this year and will probably do so once more the next year.
