Ryan Mason has faith in Tottenham's key decision-makers to make the correct choices this summer.
On the final day, Spurs' interim head coach Mason will lead his team to relegation-dangerous Leeds in what is expected to be his final game in command.
Tottenham, who are currently in eighth place, are still without a permanent manager or managing director of football. If they fail to improve on Aston Villa's performance and tie Brentford's on Sunday, they may miss out on Europe for the first time since the 2009–10 season.
Daniel Levy, the chairman, and the board must make quick decisions because Spurs fans have already been promised a certain type of play for the upcoming season.
After the recent pragmatism and counterattacking of Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, the squad will return to "football you will love to come and watch," according to Levy's programme notes for last Saturday's game.
We've probably had two or three different styles of football in the previous two or three years, and I don't think it is good for any squad of players or for spectators, according to Mason, who believes that a consistent brand of football will help.If you constantly switching between different things, the impact of losing people—coaches, players, and staff—is enormous. As I said, it will become increasingly crucial in the future, as seen by the Premier League and other leagues.
"This is simply how I see the current circumstances. Of course, there will be a lot of discussions about the future during the summer. There are many people here who genuinely care about the club's return to our expectations, hopes, and desires.
"I am confident that these discussions and conclusions will be taken in the summer. I have faith in the decision-makers.
Mason acknowledged that the club must have a new manager in place before they can pursue targets when asked how the managerial search would affect Spurs' ability to make transfers.
We have a large team, many players on loan, and decisions to make, so there is work, he remarked.
