Willian spoke to Stats Perform why he thinks Mauricio Pochettino can revive things at his old team Chelsea.
If hired as Chelsea's new head coach, Mauricio Pochettino has "everything to succeed" in his first campaign, according to former Blues winger Willian.
Pochettino has not been in charge since being fired as Paris Saint-Germain manager at the conclusion of the last campaign, but he is apparently close to taking over at Stamford Bridge before the start of the following one.
His rumored arrival coincides with Chelsea's turbulent season, during which they fired coaches Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter and finished with their lowest-ever Premier League-era point total.
But Willian, who spent seven years with the Blues and won two Premier League championships as well as the Europa League, thinks Pochettino will help the team achieve success once more.
Willian praised the manager, calling him "a great manager." "He performed admirably while he was at Tottenham, and he is fully equipped to succeed.
"Chelsea is a huge club that is accustomed to winning championships. Chelsea may go a year without winning anything, but the following year they'll be competing for the championship.
"Chelsea has won championships in this manner for a while now, and occasionally they don't perform well in a league but win a European trophy or a cup.
Chelsea is a team that always fights for championships, and I believe they have everything it takes to do it again the next year.
Since Todd Boehly's group took bought the club, Chelsea has spent more than £600 million on transfers, including £323 million on eight players in the January transfer window alone.

Willian believes the new additions will be successful and continues, "I believe the club has excellent players.
"They have signed a lot of players, but you can see that they have a lot of quality players, and I think they have everything to succeed, yes."
