Guardiola was defeated by Frank at the Etihad Stadium in November.
Prior to Sunday's match at the Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford manager Thomas Frank hailed Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola as the best coach of the modern period and an inspiration.
Guardiola has guided City to five Premier League titles, and they will try to continue that success in the FA Cup and Champions League finals later this month.
Frank, whose team defeated City in November, praised Guardiola's influence on the game and acknowledged that it has motivated him throughout his coaching career.
He is top-notch; following the match, he stated that Brentford's victory was well-deserved. I look forward to congratulate him on winning the Premier League because I only encounter him when he conducts himself with class the entire time, added Frank.
"Pep Guardiola has been discussed much and with good reason. He has significantly advanced the game and is, in my opinion, the best coach working today.
I constantly watched and studied him while he was living in Barcelona. His art has influenced me, and he most certainly is an inspiration.
Erling Haaland, a record-breaking striker who scored 36 Premier League goals in his first season, will be a challenge for Brentford.
The 22-year-old's influence on English football since joining from Borussia Dortmund has been praised by Frank.
"Haaland added a different dimension to City, he is so good in the box," Frank continued.
"If you look at the goal against Brighton that was disallowed, he makes four or five movements before the cross comes in. This is something I very rarely see from a striker.
"He's constantly moving, which makes him hard to defend against. He's also always focused and thinks the ball will in for every opportunity.
"A great finisher with the ability to use the left foot, right foot, and header, but I believe the most important asset he has provided them with is the pace in the background.
"I think the number of goals he's scored, which has destroyed the Premier League, is very impressive, and there may be even more to come,"
"I know he broke the record this year, and he'll probably break it again next year."
Frank emphasized the caliber of City's team while attempting to anticipate Guardiola's starting lineup.
