When things settle, Bayern Munich will win their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title this weekend after Borussia Dortmund's disastrous defeat.

Entering the final match on Saturday of the 2022/23 season, leaders Dortmund are in charge ahead of their home clash with Mainz.

Edin Terzic's army has pulled a 2-point gap with Bayern and many are confident they can win all 3 points against the opponent who is currently ranked 9th in the Bundesliga.

But the visitors surprised everyone by taking the lead after only 15 minutes.

As you can see in the clip above, Norwegian defender Andreas Hanche-Olsen turned former goalkeeper Gregor Kobel into a deadly header to make it 1-0. Dortmund soon had a chance to equalize when Raphael Guerreiro was fouled inside the box, but Sebastien Haller, who has scored five goals in his last three games, failed to convert the goal from 12 yards.

Then, in drama, the Westfalenstadion was silent when Dortmund conceded a second goal.

Kobel, who could have saved Olsen's opener, was unable to parry a relatively docile header from Austria Karim Onisiwo in the 24th minute.

2-0 Mainz.

With 45 minutes to go, Dortmund will have to make one of the greatest comebacks in Bundesliga history as Bayern lead 1-0 against FC Cologne. Here's how social media reacted to the scenes in Germany.

One fan said:

"Dortmund is unlocking levels of traffic jams no one thought existed, these guys make Spurs feel like they have Real Madrid's DNA," while another commented:

"I guess being a Dortmund fan is like watching Gerrard slide back and forth for a decade."

The third person wrote:

"Make sure if it's week 16 with Bayern 10 points ahead, Dortmund will be at least four goals ahead of this game now. How can they fall so often when necessary. I don't understand that."

The fourth added:

The last time Dortmund came back from being 2-0 down in the first half was in 1982."
