This season, Levy has come in for increasing criticism, and his name has been screamed a lot during games.
Ryan Mason, the interim head coach of Tottenham, has backed Daniel Levy and stated that the chairman, who is under criticism, has been let down by others.
Levy has received more criticism this year and has heard his name screamed by fans who want the long-serving board member to leave.
Eighth-placed Spurs are now looking for a permanent head coach and managing director of football since they may be forced to play their first season outside of Europe since the 200910 campaign.
The club's all-time leading scorer Harry Kane is about to enter the final year of his contract, but Mason defended Levy before the final game of the season on Sunday against relegation-threatened Leeds.
"It hurts him, it hurts everyone who is committed to this club and who genuinely cares about and wants this club to succeed," he said.
"One thing I will note is that he has spent money, tried, and ultimately I just think he has probably been let down by other people, but that's football.
"That happens, and hopefully we can quickly correct the situation, make wise choices, and it can change."
At the start of the season, there was a lot of optimism, but Spurs have lost 14 Premier League games, let up 62 goals in the top flight, which is their worst against total since the 2002-03 season, and seen their trophy drought go on for a 15th season.
When asked about advantages, Mason was blunt and said, "I think the future will be the largest advantage.
"And if we're smart and if we do it right, I think when we look back on this season, we'll say it was difficult and discouraging, but in the end, it helped us realize who we want to be.
