Declan Rice will be departing from West Ham this summer, according to the manager.
David Moyes acknowledges that the close-season makes it difficult for him to unwind.
Declan Rice will be leaving West Ham this summer, and the manager will be swamped with calls from agencies offering suggestions for his replacements.
Moyes declared, "I am the complete opposite of switching off; I am on my phone all the time, there are things going on, and recruitment is taking on.
"When you talk about the manager's work, it sounds so demanding. There are perhaps some supervisors who would respond, "No problem, I'll put my phone away." I've never been that way; I'm always available and connected to my phone.
"Every day, I receive 400 different names; many of them are unknown to me, some of them are familiar to me, and some of them I actually enjoy.
"When you do nothing, the agents start to get busy, and that's when it gets hard for a manager to unplug."
Prior to Sunday's trip to Leicester, who are still in the relegation zone, Moyes can at least unwind in the knowledge that West Ham is safe from relegation.
Next month, the Hammers will also play Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final in Prague.
"I hope to be playing plenty of golf, just trying to recover as it's been a really difficult year for the club and myself," said Moyes.
"I believe we have been a terrific team, but perhaps we haven't consistently demonstrated it this year.
"But I just view West Ham's participation in a European final as a tremendous accomplishment for the entire football club.
"I don't know whether you would have believed me at all if I had stated this three years ago when I returned to the club. That was likely what the supporters were contemplating as well. You're off your head, I would have said if I weren't working for West Ham.
