TOP PLAYERS WITH MOST ASSISTS IN PREMIER LEAGUE 2022-23

The current Premier League campaign has seen 1044 goals scored. In the 368 games that were played, 696 of the 1044 goals were assisted by a teammate. The final pass has been delivered by 259 different players, some of whom have also recorded multiple assists. The most league goals have been scored by Manchester City, and they have had the best players. 

Let’s take a look at the top six players with the most assists in the Premier League in 2022–23.

6) Michael Olise: 10 assists (Crystal Palace) 

 

The Frenchman, who joined the Eagles last year, has already matched his previous season's total. The innovation of Michael Olise was crucial to his team's survival in the league. In April, the 21-year-old assisted on three goals for Leeds United. Several major clubs are currently looking at him, including PSG. 

 

5. Leandro Trossard: 10 assists (Arsenal and Brighton) 

 

Leandro Trossard only provided two assists in 16 league games for Brighton. He then made a move to North London and added eight assists in the next 19 games for the Gunners. The Belgian forward created some crucial goals for Arsenal in their run for the title. Trossard assisted three times in the first half against Fulham and created a record of hat-tricks of assists in the first half. 

 

4. Riyad Mahrez: 10 assists (Manchester City) 

 

The Algerian winger for Manchester City needed the fewest appearances to achieve the double-figure plateau. For the winners, he has made 28 appearances. All 19 of Riyad Mahrez's assists following the World Cup came from him. 

3. Bukayo Saka: 11 assists (Arsenal) Bukayo Saka has made a name for himself in the Premier League. In 37 games, the 21-year-old has scored 24 goals. Saka provided six assists in the 14 league games before the World Cup. This creative force has played a crucial role in Arsenal’s run in the league and will look to add an assist or two in Arsenal’s final match of the season. 

 

2. Mohamed Salah: 11 assists (Liverpool) 

 

Mo Salah has produced and scored goals for Liverpool since his arrival. In a season that has fallen short of expectations, the 30-year-old has carried the Reds. Salah has 11 assists in 37 games, which is his third time surpassing the ten-assist threshold. Salah has provided assistance eight times in the past 23 games, including a hat-trick of assists against Leicester City. 

1. Kevin De Bruyne: 16 assists (Manchester City) 

 

Kevin De Bruyne has registered 102 assists in the English Premier League and is joint-fourth with Frank Lampard. This season, he has 16 in 31 league appearances. Of these 16 assists, nine came in the first 14 matches. De Bruyne has created half of the assists for Erling Haaland. The duo will look to combine once again in the last match of the season.
