Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Celtic, thinks that his team has adapted to the relentless pressure to succeed.
On Saturday, Celtic's captain Callum McGregor raised the Premiership trophy after their 5-0 victory over Aberdeen concluded a season in which they finished with 99 points and a post-war club record 114 league goals.
Since his arrival from Japan in the summer of 2021, Postecoglou has now won four of the five domestic titles that are still up for grabs. He can now join Jock Stein, Martin O'Neill, Brendan Rodgers, and Neil Lennon by completing the treble with a Scottish Cup victory over Inverness on Saturday.
We could not go another year without winning anything, I believe I have remarked numerous times when I first arrived. We had just finished a season without a trophy.
Regardless matter what transpired at the beginning of the season, I made it clear to the boys from the moment I came that there is always expectation.
"That won't ever alter. At this football team, success is expected every year, whether you're winning or losing. The players have probably grown accustomed to that by now. They act and train in that manner every day. Every day, Callum pushes them in that manner. There can be no bad days. There can be no off-season.
Postecoglou is already considering how he can help Celtic the following year.
In this game, you can't just stand motionless, he remarked. It transforms swiftly. The difference between achieving success once more and failing to do so is quite small.Additionally, this team will get better. You can see most of this team's important players getting better. All of the individuals who joined last year have experienced better years this year than they did last year, and the those who stayed, including Callum, Greg Taylor, and Tony Ralston, have all joined and experienced better years this year.
"I can infer more progress from that. There should be.
Barry Robson, the manager of Aberdeen, knew Saturday's game would be challenging and will work to improve his team's ability to compete with Celtic the next season.
