Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland, who do Real Madrid need more?

Real Madrid has been linked with both players, and while it seems unlikely that Haaland will join the club this summer due to his recent move to Manchester City, Mbappe's potential transfer is more feasible, although he may stay at PSG for another season.
Considering a hypothetical scenario in the summer of 2024, where both players are available and Real Madrid must choose one, the question arises: who do they need more?
Mbappe's preferred position is on the left flank, where he can showcase his versatility and impact the game in various ways. He excels at dribbling down the byline, cutting it back or crossing, as well as cutting inside to score or combining with teammates to create opportunities. While he thrives on the left, he wouldn't have an issue being Karim Benzema's successor as a central forward. With his well-rounded skills, a front three of Vinicius, Mbappe, and Rodrygo would provide creativity, flair, and goal-scoring instinct. Their chemistry would likely be top-notch, and they possess the ability to perform in crucial moments.
In contrast, Haaland is a goal-scoring machine, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him break numerous records in La Liga if he joins Real Madrid. However, he relies more heavily on his teammates to create chances for him. Real Madrid already possesses players like Vinicius, Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga, Luka Modric, and Toni Kroos, who can provide the necessary support. With Haaland's clinical finishing ability, building the team around his strengths would be a straightforward task. Whether playing him behind opposition defenses, finding him through cut-backs into the six-yard box, or accurate crosses, Haaland will find the back of the net with the right service.
Ideally, having both Haaland and Mbappe at Santiago Bernabeu would be a dream scenario, but it is highly unlikely. In this context, our opinion is that Real Madrid would benefit more from signing Mbappe. While Haaland's incredible goal-scoring numbers speak for themselves, Mbappe is a more well-rounded player.
This preference is not a slight against Haaland, but rather an acknowledgment of Mbappe's overall skill set, which would make him an excellent addition to Los Blancos.
Ultimately, the decision rests with Real Madrid, and whichever player they choose, they will undoubtedly enhance their squad and strengthen their pursuit of success.
