‘He’s ready’: Pep Guardiola says 22-year-old City player is about to explode.

Pep Guardiola has made a promise about Erling Haaland ahead of the FA Cup and Champions League finals.

Pep Guardiola has expressed his confidence in Erling Haaland, stating that the 22-year-old City player is on the verge of a breakthrough. As City clinched their third consecutive Premier League title with three games remaining, much of their success can be attributed to Haaland's remarkable performances. Since joining from Borussia Dortmund last season, the Norwegian striker has scored an impressive 52 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions.

While it was expected that Haaland would find the back of the net regularly in this City team, few could have anticipated that he would break the Premier League's single-season goal record in his debut campaign. However, despite his exceptional goal-scoring form throughout the season, Haaland has only managed to score once in City's last six matches. He thought he had ended his mini-goal drought with a headed goal against Brighton, but it was disallowed after a VAR review due to a foul.

With City's treble bid set to be decided in the upcoming weeks, some fans have expressed concerns about Haaland's recent dip in form. Nevertheless, Guardiola remains optimistic and assured reporters that the young star would soon rediscover his scoring touch. The City boss believes that Haaland is simply waiting for the right moments to strike and that he is prepared to score crucial goals.

Guardiola praised Haaland's achievements so far, including his numerous goals and records. He highlighted the striker's recent performance against Brighton, where he fought hard against defenders and showed great physicality. Guardiola emphasized Haaland's readiness for the upcoming finals, stating that he does not feel much pressure and handles expectations remarkably well at such a young age. The City manager recalled an incident during the Community Shield where Haaland missed a clear chance, but the striker assured everyone that he would score goals, showcasing his self-confidence and ambition.

After their final league game against Brentford, City will focus on the FA Cup final against Manchester United on June 3 and the Champions League final against Inter on June 10. Guardiola's belief in Haaland's abilities and his expectation of the striker's imminent explosion on the field bode well for City's chances in these crucial matches.
