Fans believe Cristiano Ronaldo has 'multitasked' for Al Nassr during their Saudi Arabia Professional Football League clash with Al Ettifaq as both player and coach.

It was a forgettable Saturday for Al Nassr, who ceded the title to Al Ittihad after they picked up just one point against Al Ettifaq at Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.

Al Ittihad is currently five points ahead of Al Nassr on the SPL rankings with one match left.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo failed to score on Saturday night and was substituted in the 84th minute, although the visitors needed a goal to continue their title challenge.

Ronaldo, who has scored 14 goals in 16 league appearances for Al Nassr, did his best to get his side back on track.

In fact, the 38-year-old forward was handing out very specific instructions to his teammates on a regular basis, leading fans to speculate about his position at the club.

One fan commented:

"Cristiano on the field playing and giving instructions to his teammates on every other pass lmao."

Another Twitter user then posted the below video of Ronaldo pointing to where his Al Nassr teammates should pass, saying:

"That Al Nassr team is a joke, Ronaldo multi tasking by being a player and a manager at the same time."

Ronaldo literally giving instructions for every move whilst playing for the team

Ronaldo is certainly on board with the project at Al Nassr.

On Tuesday night, after scoring the winner against Al Shabab to earn all three points, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner said the Saudi Pro League will become one of the top five leagues in the world.

"We are much better and the Saudi league is getting better and next year will be even better," the striker said in his post match interview.

"Step-by-step I think this league will be among the top five leagues in the world but they need time, players and infrastructure. Advertisement

"But I believe this country [has] incredible potential, they have extraordinary people and the league is going to be amazing in my opinion."

Saudi Arabia could soon boast two of the biggest names in world football, with Lionel Messi tipped to move to the country.
