Arsenal fans were left disappointed after discovering they had to pay an extra £30 for a key detail on the club's new home kit.

The Gunners launched the 2023/24 home kit earlier this week, which is red with white sleeves and decorated with gold branding.

Arsenal stars men and women including Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Beth Mead and Stina Blackstenius showcased the kit, which is now available for purchase from the club's official store.

Gunners fans will get a preview of the kit decorated by Mikel Arteta's side for Sunday's final Premier League game against Wolves at Emirates Stadium.

The shirt itself contains a tribute to the Invincibles, with next year being 20 years since Arsene Wenger's side went unbeaten for the second time in Premier League history, after Preston The North End did in 1888/89. All of this season's achievements are engraved on a portion of the jersey to commemorate this historic achievement.

But there's a catch - and Arsenal fans are certainly not happy about it.

Arsenal fans are angry because of the difference in costumes

On the club's official store, two different versions of the shirt are available for purchase. One - the normal home shirt - costs £80.

There is also an 'authentic shirt' option that costs £110. However, fans have noticed that this one has the Invincibles engraving and not the other - meaning fans have to pay an extra £30 to get it.

There are some other small differences on the “genuine shirt” as the badge is heat-pressed and the shirt has air-cooled technology. But when they learned that the £80 shirt didn't have the words Invincibles, fans weren't impressed at all.

Just a word of warning for those looking to buy the new Arsenal home jersey.

The standard fan version of the £80 shirt lacks Invincibles winning streak detail on the shirt. This is only available on genuine shirts.

One of them tweeted:

"I'm feeling down this morning, man, so bad."

Another said:

"Honestly, it's ridiculous."

And a third fan summed up the views of many:

"Well, that's very disappointing to Arsenal. You'd think + £80 would be enough to buy the whole shirt, not just a little bit!"

The fourth added:

"The first thing I looked for and noticed when I arrived today... was a bit exhausted."

Meanwhile, another fan was extremely angry at the price of the two shirts:

"After the Liverpool kit was released, now Arsenal are in it. £80, £110 - absolutely fantastic."
