AFTER LEICESTER'S RELEGATION, THERE WILL BE MANY CHANGES, ACCORDING TO JONNY EVANS

Players like James Maddison and Harvey Barnes appear to be destined for trades, while Evans and Youri Tielemans are among those with unrenewable contracts.

Jonny Evans, a defender for Leicester, is unsure of what lies ahead for them now that they have been demoted to the Championship.

When Everton's victory over Bournemouth rendered the Foxes' 2-1 win against West Ham irrelevant, they became just the second previous Premier League champions to be demoted.

Many players, notably Evans and Youri Tielemans, have unfulfilled contracts, and others, like James Maddison and Harvey Barnes, appear destined for trades to aid the team's financial situation.

Evans disclosed that the team had said their goodbyes in the locker room in anticipation of a possible summer exodus.

The 35-year-old Evans remarked, "It is hard to take.

"After that, the dressing room remained silent for a while. We are aware that many of the guys are not under contract.

"The football club will undergo a lot of changes.

"Really, it was a chance for everyone to say farewell. Many of us are unsure of our final destination.

"I told the boys that although the past five years have been great, the club must now make some choices.

They 'probably don't know what they are going to do,' in my opinion.

West Ham's defeat put an end to a dismal Premier League season in which they placed 14th, just six points above Leicester.

However, they are totally focused on the Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina the following week, which may be Declan Rice's last match for the team.

If the game in Prague is to be the midfielder's final match before being moved this summer, manager David Moyes wants him to do so in style.

He played superbly, in my opinion. When describing his performance at the King Power Stadium, Moyes called it "another swashbuckling performance from him at times."

I'm quite happy with how well he has performed for us this season; he has been outstanding and a credit to himself.

And now he has the opportunity to win a trophy for West Ham, so he needs to try to get ready to see if he can assist us in doing so.
