For the first time ever, Brighton has qualified for the European Championship.
Prior to their debut in Europe, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi acknowledges the Seagulls will need to make a purchase.
After placing sixth in the Premier League, they have now qualified for the Europa League for the first time in their existence.
Before Sunday's final-day 2-1 loss at Aston Villa, Brighton had already secured sixth place. De Zerbi is aware that his team will need to grow in order to meet the demands of European participation.
"We're not prepared to play three games back-to-back or three games every week. Three games in a row is something we're not used to, he remarked.
We need to strengthen our team by adding additional players, which will need us to work in the transfer market. After that, we must make improvements.
The outcome we obtained this year was outstanding, and Tony Bloom, Paul Barber, and I hope to outdo it.

After Brighton fell behind 2-0 at Villa after goals from Douglas Luiz and Ollie Watkins, Deniz Undav's goal could not save a point.
Following a 13-year absence, Villa's victory placed them eighth in the Premier League and gave them a spot in the Europa Conference League play-offs.
