Argentina Association coach Mauricio Pochettino will join Chelsea on July 1 as their next manager. Chelsea's failure to participate in next season's European Cup means they will have a lot of work to do.
He will need to bring in new signings in the summer of 2023 to help him bring Chelsea back to its glory days. There are rumors that a number of players are being targeted by Chelsea in various positions.
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is their target for a striker. The Nigerian striker leads the list of Serie A top scorers this season with 25 goals. He can line up with Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling up front.
Christopher Nkunku is their target for the attacking midfielder position. Scoring 22 goals and providing eight assists for RB Leipzig in the 2022/2023 season makes him a better signing. Signing Nkunku means he will bring on Enzo Fernandez and N'golo Kante in midfield. To help the team concede fewer goals, the Blues will have to recruit a new goalkeeper. Their target for the goalkeeper position is Andre Onana playing for Inter Milan.
Here's how they might line up with their new signings for the 2023/2024 season.
