Argentina Association coach Mauricio Pochettino will join Chelsea on July 1 as their next manager. Chelsea's failure to participate in next season's European Cup means they will have a lot of work to do.

He will need to bring in new signings in the summer of 2023 to help him bring Chelsea back to its glory days. There are rumors that a number of players are being targeted by Chelsea in various positions.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is their target for a striker. The Nigerian striker leads the list of Serie A top scorers this season with 25 goals. He can line up with Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling up front.

Christopher Nkunku is their target for the attacking midfielder position. Scoring 22 goals and providing eight assists for RB Leipzig in the 2022/2023 season makes him a better signing. Signing Nkunku means he will bring on Enzo Fernandez and N'golo Kante in midfield. To help the team concede fewer goals, the Blues will have to recruit a new goalkeeper. Their target for the goalkeeper position is Andre Onana playing for Inter Milan.

Here's how they might line up with their new signings for the 2023/2024 season.

According to reports, more than six Chelsea stars have made it clear that they want to leave the club this summer.

The Blues prepare for another summer of upheaval after a tumultuous season of disaster both on and off the pitch. It ended lackluster with a 1-1 draw with Newcastle at Stamford Bridge on Sunday May 28.

Interim manager Frank Lampard, who has won just one of his 11 games in charge, has now been officially replaced by Mauricio Pochettino to mark a much-needed fresh start.

But he and the board have slashed their work in the coming months to unite a team that is lacking motivation and confidence. Some departures are expected, with The Telegraph saying 'more than half a dozen' players have been 'quite open' to the desire to tour the training ground.

They go on to say that Lampard has struggled a lot to try to rejoin the team after they were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid.

That will change under Pochettino, a notoriously difficult coach. The Argentinian loves to push his players to their limits and has used a variety of tactics to improve mentality during his coaching career, including forcing them to walk on hot coals.

As for his transfer move, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are unlikely to stay, while club captain Cesar Azpilicueta could also leave. Mauricio Pochettino was appointed as Chelsea manager on Monday

Chelsea are said to be targeting a goalkeeper, midfielder and striker in the market, with Todd Boehly's spending showing no signs of slowing down. Sporting Lisbon midfielder Manuel Ugarte is a target, while Pochettino's reunion with Harry Kane has been reported.
