The acquisition of Chelsea right-back Dujon Sterling by Rangers has been announced.
When his contract with Chelsea expires on July 1, the 23-year-old will sign a four-year deal and join.
The versatile player played twice as a substitute for Chelsea in cup competitions, but during loan stints with Coventry, Wigan, Blackpool, and Stoke, he made more than 100 first-team appearances. He participated in 28 games for Stoke in the Sky Bet Championship this year.
"I am delighted to welcome Dujon to Rangers," Rangers manager Michael Beale said on the club's official website. "He is an exciting young player who, I'm sure, will be a great addition to our squad."I was familiar with him from my time at Chelsea, and I have followed his career ever since.
He is a fantastic attacking defender who is very strong and powerful, and I am looking forward to working with him at Rangers.
"I am really excited to come to such a big club, there is a lot of history and the fans are so passionate, so I am thrilled," Sterling continued.I didn't anticipate having to decide about my future so quickly, but the gaffer came in for me right away and what he suggested to me seemed like everything I thought I needed.
We were on the same wavelength, he believes in me and I believe in what he is trying to do as well so it was a no-brainer for me to come.
Dinamo Zagreb, the defending champions of Croatia, will compete with Rangers for Matija Frigan, and coach Igor Biscan has admitted that his interest in the striker is "no secret."
If this was Antonio Colak's last game wearing the Rangers uniform, he certainly left a lasting impression. In Saturday's 3-0 demolition of St. Mirren, the Croatian came off the bench to head in the final attempt.
His 18th goal for the Glasgow Giants was that. Colak has performed admirably since moving to Scotland, but according to The Sun, his future is uncertain because Gers manager Mick Beale prefers a more versatile number nine to a traditional penalty area poacher like the former Malmo star.
