Since Lionel Messi will be a free agent this summer, it is not surprising that the football media is already buzzing with rumors about his possible destinations. Three important locations have been proposed for the Paris Saint-Germain star's departure from Ligue 1: Saudi Arabia, Barcelona, and Inter Miami, but the latter suggestion has waned recently.

The sentimental choice would be Barcelona, which would give the Argentine the farewell from Camp Nou he was never given when he was forced to depart. However, it would give President Joan Laporta another victory despite the fact that she was the one who initially deceived the Messi family.

It's challenging to imagine yourself in someone else's position and even more so to consider declining an offer of that magnitude. Nevertheless, Messi would effectively be saying goodbye to his professional career as well, something he might not be ready to do just six months after winning the World Cup - or maybe that makes it more plausible.
