ANALYSES: EXAMINING REAL MADRID'S POSSIBLE FORWARD ALTERNATIVES

There is no disputing the fact that Real Madrid will add forward reinforcements this summer. Though it's unclear how many there will be and what shape they'll take,

By the beginning of July, Los Blancos may not have any natural number nines left in their lineup due to rising rumors about Karim Benzema's future and Mariano Diaz's impending departure; nonetheless, youngster Alvaro Rodriguez is likely to be promoted to the first team. He is projected to be a third option through the middle of the following season.

Goncalo Ramos, Harry Kane, Dusan Vlahovic, and Roberto Firmino are the four forwards whom Fabrizio Romano has linked to the Santiago Bernabeu. These connections are in addition to other Spanish publications indicating the imminence of a Joselu Mato transaction. What each forward would bring to the Bernabeu is listed here.

Benfica's Goncalo Ramos

Ramos has had a less spectacular second half of the season with Benfica after a great World Cup cameo. But one of the game's most potential forwards shouldn't let that distort their judgment.

Even for a 21-year-old, 27 goals and 12 assists in 47 games is still an excellent return rate. With his fluid movement, quickness, and technical prowess, Ramos would give Real Madrid a traditional number nine. He has a good sense of spatial awareness, and his finishing is impeccable.

He would provide Benzema with something unique and even work well with him as a young pretender. Being so young in his career, Benzema would be a risky gamble for the starting position if he left. Although he undoubtedly plays with deeper defenses in Portugal, asking him to do so for Real Madrid the following season may be asking too much of him and will certainly be expensive.

Spanish-speaking Joselu Mato

Joselu appears to be the best back-up for Benzema and is reportedly the most likely to materialize. He is an excellent link player, a target man with good hold-up play, and a natural poacher in the box. At 33, he is in his prime but won't press for playing time, and he is going back to an area he is familiar with.

He only scored two fewer goals than Benzema this season in La Liga (16 goals), so he'll probably eat up the service. However, there might also be an adaptive process. When he is on the field, Los Blancos must make sure to play to his strengths, and Joselu must occasionally attempt to serve as a wall for Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Gomes in confined places. Additionally affordable and freely lisenable.

for Tottenham Hotspur, Harry Kane

Unquestionably the most expensive option, but also the only one that can effectively replace Benzema should he decide to leave. It's improbable that the two could live together.
