appreciation to everybody who contributed to his "10 magnificent years" at his alma mater St. Johnstone.

The 33-year-old midfielder moved to Saints from Hibernian in 2013, assisted the Perth club in capturing the Scottish Cup for the first time in 2014, and was a member of the squad that astonishingly captured both the Scottish Cup and League Cup in 2021.

The Canadian international is one of 14 players who will be leaving St Johnstone this summer as new manager Steven MacLean restructures his team, the Scottish club said on Tuesday.

"After 10 magnificent years, playing at the club I grew up supporting, my time has come to an end," Wotherspoon wrote on Twitter.

My time at St. Johnstone has produced some great memories that I will always cherish.

“First off, I would want to express my gratitude to the players with whom I have had the pleasure of sharing a dressing room. What a superb group of guys who have helped me and fostered wonderful connections. To the supervisors I have had the pleasure of working with and with whom I have had such great success. I appreciate the opportunity to play for the team I support. To the club's backroom personnel and other employees who have supported me throughout the years. I sincerely appreciate all that you have done for me.

When he was available after signing a one-year deal, he was effective.

But before his season concluded in February, he was sidelined for five months starting in July.

Additionally, Mikey Devlin, a defender who Premiership club Livingston had already announced as a summer signing, and goalkeeper Kevin Dabrowski have both left Hibs.

Devlin, 29, signed a short-term contract with Hibs in February after being released by Fleetwood Town, although he saw just a few minutes of play for the club, coming on as a substitute in the season finale against Heart of Midlothian.

Since moving to Hibs from Lech Poznan in 2017, Dabrowski has only made seven appearances, and the 24-year-old Pole spent the season on loan at Queen of the South.
