On Twitter, the 48-year-old made a statement.
Following the club's relegation from the Premier League, Leeds chairman Andrea Radrizzani issued an apology to the supporters of the team.
Radrizzani acknowledged the board of directors had made mistakes in a personal message shared on Twitter, and he expressed the hope of making some "key appointments in different areas of the club."
However, the 48-year-old Italian, who is a part of the group that successfully acquired Sampdoria, made no mention of a potential ownership change at Leeds.
The past several days have been quite challenging for everyone connected to Leeds United, according to Radrizzani.
"I struggle to find the appropriate words to use, other than to express my regret to each and every one of our supporters for the club's relegation. I apologize profusely for how this season has played out.
"We have made large expenditures in an effort to retain Leeds United in the Premier League, but in our tireless efforts to make the club better, we have undoubtedly also made some errors.
"We are considering our choices in order to guarantee that we learn from our mistakes and apply those lessons moving forward to strengthen our club.
"Fans of Leeds United deserve better than this. You are aware of the road we have taken, and after the resentment and disappointment have passed, I hope you will realize that we can return stronger.
On Tuesday night, Radrizzani's Aser Group and the financial firm Gestio Capital announced that they had reached an agreement to save the financially troubled Sampdoria, who had just been demoted to Serie B.
That transaction was supposed to result in Radrizzani selling his 56% ownership of Leeds to American co-owners 49ers Enterprises.
With an agreement in place to purchase Radrizzani's stock and acquire full control before January 2024, the financial arm of NFL team the San Francisco 49ers upped its stake in Leeds to 44% by the end of 2021.
However, that agreement was conditioned on Leeds continuing to play in the Premier League, and it would seem Radrizzani is now determined to take Leeds back to the top division.
Since 2017, "we have heavily invested in Leeds United and worked hard to get the club back to where it deserves to be," he continued.
"We can continue the process of recovering with the help of our partners.
