It is thought the Stretford-based side are intent on keeping Rashford at the club, despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain in recent months.
Rashford has entered the final 18 months of his current contract, with the striker's contract expiring at the end of next season. The Manchester-born star could agree a free transfer with foreign clubs in January, if new terms have not yet been agreed by then.
This makes securing a new contract paramount for the Old Trafford hierarchy, who see Rashford as the poster kid for the Ten Hag project.
Furthermore, with next season's Champions League spot already available, it is also speculated that United could lure Rahsford to stay by making promises of big signings to increase their chances of winning the silverware.
Reports suggest England team-mate Harry Kane is one of them, with United keen to sign the Tottenham Hotspur star when the transfer market opens.
What does Dean Jones say about Rashford's contract? Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jones said:
"They need to build around Rashford, they need to make sure he's someone the crowd can relate to, you need to have that when building a project like this.
"Rashford doesn't want to leave, he never wants to leave, but that's just to make sure he gets the right contract for where he's at in his career. So I think the excitement. the incentive will be big enough."
How is Rashford playing this season?
One of United's best players in Ten Hag's debut campaign, Rashford will finish the season as the Reds' top scorer in all competitions.
With a significant contribution of 41 G/A in 55 appearances so far, the England international's efforts have been invaluable to United this season. Unsurprisingly, with goals in front of goal, Rashford is also among United's top performers, with only Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes leading the 25-year-old in the WhoScored rankings.
