Liverpool have been told that summer target Levi Colwill will not be sold by Chelsea, according to a new report.
Football Insider announced in April that the Red Devils are interested in signing the young England international centre-back, who will represent his country at the European Under-21 Championship this summer.
The 21-year-old spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Brighton, where he impressed with his defense, playability and efficiency in accelerating on the pitch.
His playing style suits manager Roberto De Zerbi well, and he has made 17 Premier League appearances this season.

Speaking last week following Brighton's win over Southampton, which have secured a Europa League spot for next season, Colwill told The Athletic when asked about his future:
"Brighton has done so much for me. They trust me when others don't and I'm a giver. We shall see.
"I don't know what will happen. I'm still here until the end of the season. I'm just focused on that and then I'll have the Euros this summer."
With the Daily Mail claiming a number of Chelsea natives including Trevoh Chalobah, Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek could leave Stamford Bridge, there have been doubts over Colwill's future, whose contract expires on year 2024. Advertisement
But a new update seems to have eliminated those doubts for now.
Liverpool sends message to Colwill
According to the Daily Mail, Brighton submitted an offer of £30 million to sign the midfielder but were rejected by Chelsea.
It is claimed that the Blues have told Brighton they are not interested in selling Colwill and will reject any other offers for his services.

But the Seagulls could still re-enter the race, as Chelsea are said to have been rejected by Brighton with an offer to buy midfielder Moises Caicedo in January. However, journalist Simon Phillips claims the Blues could return to the Ecuadorian this summer.
But the initial warning from Mauricio Pochettino is sure to pose a dilemma for Liverpool. Goal reported in March that manager Jurgen Klopp was considering adding a new centre-back to his squad - an issue made more pressing after a tactical change to using Trent Alexander-Arnold in the Premier League. reversed winger role.
