There doesn't seem to be a day that goes by without another update concerning the future of one Brighton & Hove Albion player who has been widely connected with a move to Anfield. Jürgen Klopp appears to be closer than ever to landing his man.

With a number of midfielders leaving Liverpool this summer, it appears that Alexis MacAllister has been regarded as the ideal acquisition by the Reds' recruitment staff.

According to Football Insider, the Merseysiders have agreed on a contract worth roughly $188k (£150k/€175k) per week with the Argentinian sensation.

According to TyC Sports journalist Germán Garca Grova, the contract will last until 2028, implying that Liverpool would pay $49 million (£39 million/€45 million).Fans receive an emotional message from Mac Allister.

With rumours about his future reaching fever pitch, a message posted on Mac Allister's social media this week has Liverpool fans hoping that he is planning to leave Brighton sooner rather than later.Taking to Instagram, the 24-year-old delivered an emotional greeting to Brighton fans, along with a video montage of highlights from the previous season.

"Review of this historic season!" it said. It was an honor to represent Brighton & Hove Albion FC in a World Cup, but becoming the club's first World Cup victory will be remembered (hopefully more), as will your welcome following it."Three and a half years ago, we were fighting for relegation, and today, after so much sacrifice, suffering, and work, this group will go down in history as the first time this club has played Europe League." We accomplished everything collectively, and for that we should be quite pleased. VAMOOOOOS."

Only time will tell if the message signals the beginning of the presumably outgoing ace's farewell. At the time, it appears that all roads lead to Liverpool.
