The market value of soccer players varies depending on many factors such as current form, physical condition and age. This is why the players that were considered the most valuable in the world in previous years no longer have a high market value.
While some of these players can still receive substantial salaries, clubs don't necessarily have to spend a lot of money to get their services in the transfer window. Because of the above, this article will look at the value of players 34 and older.
1. Lionel Messi- As the Argentina international prepares to leave Paris Saint-Germain for another club this summer, he ranks as the world's most valuable player of the right age. At the age of 35, Lionel Messi is valued at 45 million euros.
2. Lewandowski- Following Lionel Messi in second place is Lewandowski who plays for Barcelona. At the age of 34, the Polish striker has a market value of 40 million euros. 3. Karim Benzema - The third player on the list is Karim Benzema who plays for Real Madrid. Considered one of the best strikers of his generation, Benzema, who is now worth more than his former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, is worth 35 million euros.
4. Cristiano Ronaldo- Karim Benzema In fourth place is Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite being 38 years old, Ronaldo, considered one of the best players in history, is valued at 20 million euros.
5. Luka Modric - Luka Modric, 37 years old, ranked 5th on the list. In terms of current age, Real Madrid's master midfielder is currently valued at 10 million euros.

Leao was the subject of a failed bid from the Blues last year, where the West Londoner was willing to pay £87m while also launching either Hakim Ziyech or Christian Pulisic.
Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter sparked rumors of a potential 2023 transfer after he raved about the former Lille star in October.
This led his teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic to convince Leao to stop caring about him and stay in Serie A. And Leao, who has expressed his admiration for Arsenal, has done just that by extending his stay until 2024.

Milan announced the news on Friday, where they only said they were "very happy" to "continue their journey together".
Any pursuers who now want to secure Leao's services will have to activate his hefty release clause.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted that his buyout clause is £150m.
He also claims that the winger will earn £4.3m a year at the San Siro, which equates to around £83,000 a week. Most read football

Since moving from France to Italy in 2019, Leao has scored 41 goals in 162 games for the Rossoneri.
He played a key role in helping Milan win the Scudetto last season, contributing 14 goals and 15 assists this season.
Former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori - now at Milan - has warned European defenders that Leao will only get better.
He said last month:
"What scared Rafa was when I went to Milan, my friends asked me 'Who are the really good players' and I said 'You don't really know but there is a guy named Rafa Leao, he is so good but he doesn't understand how good he is!
"Rafa can dribble, shoot, lead, run behind, string well."
"Last season when we won the Scudetto and he tore himself at the end of the season and won the MVP, he realized, 'Yes, that's what I can do' This is their talisman. I. "We're counting on him, you saw him against Napoli when he shot 70 yards, scored the goal. He's a great player and he's going to improve."
