Jürgen Klopp's side are said to have secured a 'full deal' for a midfielder, but PSG and others could be big competitors for another player.
Alexis Mac Allister and Declan Rice could both leave this summer.
Liverpool have a lot to think about this summer and Jürgen Klopp and Jörg Schmadtke will be working hard behind the scenes to get things done before the season.
In an ideal world, at the start of pre-season, Liverpool would buy at least three players and these new arrivals would then be able to sleep with their teammates for as long as possible. Liverpool's pre-season kicks off on July 8, with just 36 days left. Liverpool need to sign at least a couple of midfielders at the start of the season, and in an ideal world there would also be a new defender to add to Klopp's ranks.
It will make a big difference ahead of next season, when Liverpool will have to be title challengers again and win at least one of the cup competitions.
Here's Liverpool.com's verdict on the transfer rumors emerging around the Red Devils today, with more updates on Alexis Mac Allister and Képhren Thuram, both of which could make significant additions to the money row. Klopp's defender.
Alexis MacAllister (Brighton)
Liverpool want to sign Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton this summer and the Reds have a "full agreement" to sign the 24-year-old, according to Football Insider, after activating his release clause that.
It's unclear exactly how the release clause is incorporated, David Ornstein reported in The Athletic last month that there is some form of 'mechanism' but it is not a typical release clause. It seems like a move for Mac Allister is very possible, but whether it is made or not is likely to be overkill. Sky Sports reported in May that Brighton wanted $88m (Ł70m/€82m) for the Argentinian.
Liverpool.com says:
Mac Allister will be a great start to the summer for Liverpool in terms of earnings. He won't solve all of Klopp's problems, but he is versatile enough to take on a variety of roles and will provide an instant upgrade.
Chephren Thuram (Beautiful)
Liverpool are interested in signing Nice midfielder Képhren Thuram but Newcastle United, Chelsea and PSG are also interested in the player, according to i News. “I want to improve, to play, to have fun,” Thuram recently said (via One Football) about his future. "At the moment, I'm in Nice. Things are going very well. I like the club very much, so I still find myself in Nice. I'm fine in Nice."
Thuram, 22, is a highly-rated player with a lot of interest and whether Liverpool or any other side reach an agreement, he won't stay in the Ligue 1 side for long.
