On Saturday, the Scottish Cup final between Celtic and Inverness will feature a number of hot topics.
The Hoops are going for their 41st victory in the competition, while Caley Thistle is trying to make it two victories in a row.
Before the match at Hampden, these are some of the major concerns.
The final waltz?
Ange Postecoglou responded when questioned about rumors that Tottenham had selected him as their preferred candidate for the open management position, "We have done this dance a few times this year. Leeds, Everton, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Leicester, and Chelsea are just a few of the Premier League teams that the Celtic manager has been linked with this season. He also noted that there had been another favorite.
Postecoglou aims to break the record for the eighth triple by winning all four domestic championships in a single season, much like Jock Stein, Martin O'Neill, Brendan Rodgers, and Neil Lennon did. To highlight Celtic's dominance in Scotland, Postecoglou is motivated to add that chapter to the club's history and make it a sixth treble in seven seasons.Since their first meeting in 2000, when First Division Caley Thistle won 3-1 at Parkhead in their sixth season in the league, losing John Barnes his position as manager of the Hoops, Celtic must defeat opponents who have given them all kinds of issues in the Scottish Cup. Three years after Celtic won, John Robertson's top-flight team replicated the feat three days later.
Josh Mullin of Ayr scored a late goal to destroy Caley Thistle's play-off aspirations, dropping them to sixth place in the Championship. Since that match on May 5, Billy Dodds' team has only made one appearance, in a friendly match against Dean Shiels' Dungannon Swifts team.
Kyogo Furuhashi, the leading scorer for Celtic, is questionable for fitness after losing a 50-50 match against Aberdeen goalkeeper Kelle Roos last weekend. The 33-goal scoring forward from Japan did not workout until Friday, but history suggests he will proclaim himself healthy. Despite having a hamstring injury that would shortly knock him out, the 28-year-old produced a game-winning double against Hibernian in the League Cup final last year.
