To win the league every season, the club must win the majority of its matches. For this to happen, the team must be adequately prepared and have a large enough squad depth of elite performers. Here are the league winners from the top five European leagues during the last seven seasons.
1. English Premier League - In the last seven seasons, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City have won the English Premier League. Manchester City has won five Premier League titles in the last seven seasons. They won the EPL title in 2022/2023.
2. Laliga - Barcelona and Real Madrid have each won three league titles in the last seven seasons, but Atletico Madrid has only won one. Barcelona is the reigning La Liga champion.
3. Bundesliga - Bayern Munich appears to have dominated the German league, having won the last seven titles. They won the 2022/2023 Bundesliga title after defeating Borussia Dortmund on goal difference in the final game week.
4. Serie A - Juventus has won four league titles in the last seven seasons, while Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Napoli have each won one. The current Serie A champion is Napoli.
5. Ligue 1 - PSG has won 5 Ligue 1 titles in the last decade, while Monaco and Lille have each won one.
