Fabrizio Romano has claimed the signing of Harry Kane remains an "obsession" for Manchester United this summer, despite links with Rasmus Hojlund and Victor Osimhen.
Tottenham star Kane has a year left on his current contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, although striking an agreement with the north London club will be a challenge.
The Telegraph in April claimed that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would demand at least 100m to sell the 29-year-old to another English club.
And according to The Athletic, that fee will take up United's entire initial summer transfer budget, which will also come in at 100m before the player's sale.

But the Daily Mirror have reported that Kane wants to stay in the Premier League if he leaves Tottenham, which could force his current club to move for a lower asking price. The striker is one step away from Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 48 and could achieve the feat at United if he joins the club this summer.
In recent days, Erik ten Hag's side have been linked with alternatives, including Atalanta star Rasmus Hojlund. The Manchester Evening News claim that the Dutchman held video calls with the 20-year-old striker to discuss a possible move to Old Trafford, while the club remain interested in Napoli star Victor Osimhen .
Now Romano has given an update on the search for the United striker.
Romano on Kane
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano explained:
"At this point we know that [United's] priority, their obsession, remains Harry Kane. "They also have Victor Osimhen on their roster. Besides that, we know that the attackers' dominoes haven't started yet. It's going to take time. There's not even been an offer or negotiation with the attackers. "Atalanta will try to fight to keep the player for another season, but I understand that on the player's side he will be ready to leave in the event of an important offer.
"Erik ten Hag clearly likes this player. Then let's see if they decide to negotiate for Hojlund or just keep him on the list as they are doing now."
