Sheikh Jassim submitted his fourth and final offer to United in May - after the deadline ended - with an offer representing a world-record bid for a sports team worth approx. 5.5 billion pounds.

But The Guardian's Jamie Jackson announced on Thursday that the Qatari businessman, who is bidding for United through his Nine Two Foundation, has yet to receive a response from the Glazers about his offer.

But there are other suitors. Elliott Management - the former owner of AC Milan - has submitted an offer to buy a minority stake in the club.

And Finnish businessman Zilliacus has made two offers to United, and despite refusing to participate in the third round of bidding, he has yet to remove his second bid from the table.

But speaking in a new interview, the former HJK chairman doesn't believe the Glazers will sell to anyone. Zilliacus on taking over Man Utd

Speaking to Inter-News.it reporter Ivan Vanoni, Zilliacus admitted:

"He has done a fantastic job over the last seven years and since he came young to lead Inter, he has done a great job. If he wants to sell then we will certainly be interested. ."

During an appearance on BBC Sport's 'How to Buy a Football Club' podcast in April, Zilliacus criticized United's takeover process, describing it as "very unprofessional".

He added:

"I see no reason for the third round of bidding to start from scratch.

I find it strange that if you really want to sell and you have three serious bidders, why don't you sit down with the bidders, discuss and negotiate and hope to come up with a number that everyone has. may agree. "
