According to reports, Anthony Martial's hamstring injury, which will keep him out of the FA Cup final on Saturday, may prevent Manchester United from offloading the striker this summer.
The 27-year-old was limited to only 29 games, scored nine goals, and recorded three assists during the 2022–23 season due to a series of fitness issues.
Martial came off the bench in Man United's match against Fulham last Saturday, but after receiving a hamstring injury diagnosis, he was unable to compete in the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
Erik ten Hag, the head coach of the Red Devils, stated that the attacker's condition is serious and that he would probably be out for a considerable amount of time.
"Yeah, it's going to be a long one, but we're not sure how long. During his pre-game press conference, Ten Hag told the media that more evaluation was necessary.
The Daily Mail claims that Martial's injury may prohibit the 20-time English champions from moving him this summer because he will need to go through a protracted rehabilitation process.
This season, the forward's hamstring, Achilles, back, muscular, and hip problems forced him to miss time on the field. The Red Devils are hoping to add another center-forward this summer.
Martial only has one year left on his contract, though he does have the option of signing on for another year, thus there have also been credible claims that he could be let go.
