During the Man United vs. Man City FA Cup final, a picture of a fan wearing a jersey that read "97 Not Enough" was shared on social media.

The graphic on the shirt appears to be a nod to the Hillsborough tragedy from 1989.

Prior to an FA Cup semifinal between Forest and the Reds, a horrific occurrence at Sheffield Wednesday's stadium claimed the lives of 97 people, including men, women, and children.

The fan has been arrested, according to the Metropolitan Police.

He has been detained after being apprehended on suspicion of a public order offense.

Clubs have been warning their fans more frequently not to make fun of one another after disasters.

Before their respective teams' Premier League matchup in March, Man United manager Erik ten Hag and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp appealed to fans.

It came after earlier encounters between the two bitter rivals were tainted by vile chanting over the Hillsborough and Munich air disasters.

The practice of "tragedy chanting," in which fans criticize their rivals for previous tragedies in which fans lost their lives, has gained attention in recent months.

This year, the Premier League formed a working committee to address the issue that included clubs, the Football Association, English, and the Football Supporters' Association.

According to reports, the working group talked with the police and the Crown Prosecution Service on what laws may be used to try and prosecute alleged offenders.

The image was reposted on Twitter by the Metropolitan Police Events account with the hashtag "#ARREST." We are aware of this and have aggressively engaged with @wembleystadium officials to identify the person.

"He has been taken into custody after being arrested on suspicion of violating the peace."

The FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest at Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield on April 15, 1989, resulted in 97 deaths among Liverpool supporters.

A Manchester United supporter who was seen at Wembley wearing a jersey that appeared to parody the Hillsborough tragedy has been detained.
