Matt Newberry will most certainly have a busy couple of months as Liverpool's head of academy recruitment prepares to temporarily take on the role of loan and pathways manager this summer.

With current boss David Woodfine ready to leave the club, Newberry will take on a new role during the summer transfer window, while the fates of a slew of potential prospects are being scrutinized.

Liverpool leased out as many as 19 players in the last two transfer windows, and more movement is expected. The ECHO examines how each performed and what the future may hold for many of the Reds' young players. (Blackburn Rovers) Tyler Morton

Morton had a successful season in the Championship with Blackburn Rovers and was rewarded for his improvement in senior football over the last two seasons with a new long-term Liverpool contract in January.

"I've known for a little while and it's been ongoing, and I couldn't wait to get it over the line because this is the place I want to be and the club I want to be at," Morton explained. "I'm absolutely buzzing and can't wait for the future."

During his time at Ewood Park, Morton chatted frequently with former Blackburn loanee and Liverpool colleague Harvey Elliott as he tried to make the most of a short-term transition that saw him make 46 appearances and create one goal.Bolton Wanderers' Conor Bradley

Bradley, a Northern Ireland international, had a fantastic season with Bolton and is anticipated to be given a chance to show what he can do during the pre-season schedule.

"Our plans are to bring him back, go through pre-season, and then enjoy the steps he took, and then we will decide together what we do from there," Klopp stated in April. "At the moment, the plans are to bring him back and keep him, but we'll see."

Bradley's daring style of play as a right-sided full-back saw him score seven goals in 53 games across all competitions, and he was a notable performance at Wembley as Wanderers lifted the Papa John's Trophy against Plymouth.Williams spent the first half of the season on loan at Blackpool, where he made 17 appearances before being demoted from the Championship.

As speculation about Nat Phillips' future remained, Liverpool decided to recall Williams midway through the season. The Reds eventually turned down a £7 million bid for Phillips, and Williams remained at Anfield for the duration of the season.

Williams last appeared for Blackpool in December, as Marvin Ekpiteta and Jordan Thorniley established themselves as the favoured options. Another loan spell for the 22-year-old centre-back is expected this summer.
