Nollywood actress Mojisola Adebanjo has admitted that her sex appeal and beauty have contributed to her success in landing certain movie roles. In a recent interview with Potpourri, the actress revealed that her physical appearance, facial expressions, and dress sense have often been key factors in casting decisions throughout her career.
“Yes, I believe my sex appeal and beauty have played a role in securing movie roles. I often receive compliments on my attractiveness, particularly regarding my facial expressions, physical presentation, dress sense, authenticity, and voice. For instance, in 2021, I landed a role because of a photo that showcased a specific look, which resonated with the casting team”. Adebanjo also noted that her versatility is her most important attribute as an actress.

The role interpreter fondly called Jisola by her friends also said movie streaming platforms have helped with the reach of Nollywood movies. “Netflix and other streaming platforms have significantly expanded the reach and distribution of Nollywood movies. They offer our industry a global audience, allowing our content to be viewed by people from different regions outside of traditional Nigerian and African markets.
