Sherif Mohammed, a midfielder, has parted ways with Asante Kotoko and expressed his final goodbyes.
The dynamic midfielder leaves the Ghanaian giants after a respectable three-year stay with the club.
The 22-year-old left Steadfast FC to join the Porcupine Warriors in August of 2021, and he made a big impact on the team's Premier League championship.
Sherif formally announced his retirement from the two-time CAF Champions League winners on social media.
"I am appreciative of Asante Kotoko SC's three amazing years with this outstanding team, as well as to its administration, coaches, players, and supporters. I consider the progress, experiences, and priceless memories as my contract comes to an end today. I hope this season goes well for the club. Cheers," he posted on the defunct Twitter platform, X.
Before being involved in an accident before the 2023–24 second round began, the 22-year-old midfielder was an essential part of Kotoko. After the sad event, Sherif has been unable to perform for several months.
Throughout his three years at Asante Kotoko, he made 61 appearances, tallying two goals and dishing out four assists.

The four-time champions of the continental extravaganza, Ghana, are back in action this month following a lackluster showing versus Angola and Niger the previous month.

Antoine Semenyo, Majeed Ashimeru, Jordan Ayew, Inaki Williams, Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, and Jordan Ayew are among the notable players likely to be on the team.
When their injuries heal, Alexander Djiku and Ernest Nuamah, who were absent from Ghana's previous games, should rejoin the squad. The much-anticipated match this month will be Captain Andre Ayew's third consecutive rejection from the Black Stars squad. Ayew is now without a club.
After one loss and one draw, the West African superpower is currently outside of the top two teams in Group F. In their upcoming matches against Kwesi Appiah's Sudan, they will attempt to make amends.
Sudan, who have won five of their last seven games under the former Black Stars manager, is determined to upset Ghana in the two-leg crucial matches.
