After Patrick Asiedu's amazing performance against Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League, Asante Kotoko tactician Prosper Narteh Ogum applauded the defender.

After a foot injury kept Sudan international Esmat Abdalhamid Hassabalbagi out of action for six weeks, the gifted defender took his position.

Asiedu showed flashes of brilliance to enable his team to beat his previous employers in Berekum on the road with a point.

At the Golden City, the Porcupine Warriors and Berekum Chelsea split the honors after the latter gave up a one-goal advantage.

Michael Kyei, a midfielder for Kotoko, opened the score barely three minutes into the match. The squad nearly stole a crucial away win in Berekum, but Fuseini Zakaria's late goal kept the Porcupine Warriors from taking three points.

At the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, they return to action this afternoon to compete in a fantastic match against Nsoatreman FC.

Coach Prosper Ogum has also praised the ambitious left-back for his outstanding performance against Chelsea ahead of the match.

Both the players and the team benefit from it. It demonstrates the level of experience on the team. When a talented player leaves the squad due to injury and another player joins the team without making an impact, it indicates that the team has some depth, the player stated.

Given Esmat Abdalhamid's injury, the former Chelsea left-back for Berekum will try to hold onto his spot in the squad.

Kurt Okraku's name comes up first when Black Stars underperform - Dr. Randy Abbey.

Dr. Randy Abbey, a member of the Ghana Football Association's Executive Council, has disclosed that when the Black Stars falter, people immediately think about Kurt Okraku, the association's president.

To defend the bonus payments to national team management committees, he made this claim.

The news that every member of the Black Stars Management Committee had received $100,000 in exchange for Ghana's 2024 World Cup participation caused a stir.

During his appearance before the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, which is looking into the petition that the organizers of the Save Ghana Football Demonstration submitted, Abbey said these things.

"The Black Stars don't perform when they falter. First name mentioned: which one? Before anyone even mentions the coach and the players, it's the GFA president.

"I mean, some folks don't even know who the national team's assistant coach, masseuse, or official is."

When someone fails, people blame them; thus why shouldn't success bring recognition to these people?

"Why shouldn't it be considered acceptable to give those people credit for their accomplishments when they succeed, if you believe that holding people accountable for mistakes made is acceptable?"
