After their goalless draw at the University of Ghana Stadium, W.O. Paul Tandoh, the assistant head coach of Aduana Stars FC, revealed his strong belief that his team should have defeated Hearts of Oak.
Tandoh said that Hearts' performance was "average football," adding that even when they were reduced to ten men in the 57th minute, they still outperformed their opponents.
Former Phobians player Tandoh also responded to criticism from Hearts supporters who feel he has cursed the team since leaving abruptly.
Given the circumstances, he maintained that Aduana's performance in the Ghana Premier League round five matches deserved a victory.
"We performed better than they did. We simply had better luck than they did. The game would have been over in the first half if the participants had followed the instructions exactly.
"They (Hearts of Oak) engaged in typical football play."
Hearts of Oak lost the game despite missing several scoring opportunities, including one that could have given them the victory that Salim Adams missed.
Hearts' head coach Aboubakar Ouattara is under more pressure after this draw because his squad is currently having form issues.
The Phobians are in a difficult situation as they attempt to turn things around in their next games, having only managed one victory in their previous five games.
