According to reports, Putin has ordered redeployment of another 50, 000 soldiers to the Kursk region in an effort to eliminate Kyiv forces there and reduce Moscow' s military influence in Ukraine. Kiev forces are located in the Kursk region.
Last month, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, officially declared that Russia had begun undertaking counteroffensive actions in the Kursk region as a form of reprisal for the unexpected cross- border assault that Kyiv had unleashed against the territory on August 6.
Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander- in- Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, indicated in a documentary that was shown on the Ukrainian public channel Suspilne on October 10 that 50, 000 Russian forces had been deployed from other fronts in Ukraine where they had been participated in offensive operations.

It has been reported by Syrskyi that approximately 50, 000 troops had been redeployed from different sites to the Kursk front.
The military leader stated that the Russian Federation took a step that resulted in the Russian military being less formidable on the battlefield. This was particularly true at the fronts of Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Kramatorsk in Ukraine.
According to Syrskyi, this made it easier for us to take out defensive activities, which was a natural consequence.
This week, Newsweek wrote an email to the Russian Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, demanding their thoughts.
Within the context of the current offensive, the Ukrainian army has continued its operations within the Kursk Oblast.
On October 10, the Ukrainian army continued its operations in Glushkovsky Raion, which is located west of the Ukrainian salient in Kursk Oblast. However, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), an American think tank, the Ukrainian army did not gain any significant achievements.
In addition, the ISW observed that although Ukrainian forces continued their operations, they did not make any significant advancements in the region surrounding Kamyshevka, which is located to the east of Korenevo, and Lyubimovka, which is located to the southeast of Korenevo.
The International Security Watch (ISW) has released an updated map that depicts the path that the Ukrainian advance is taking toward Kursk.
Russian forces have recently achieved some modest gains in eastern Obukhovka, which is located southeast of Korenevo, according to photographs that were released on October 7 and validated by geolocation.
Additionally, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Pokrovskiy was taken prisoner by Moscow forces that have not been identified.
On the other hand, the IWS was unable to produce any visual evidence to support this claim.
Since the beginning of the Ukrainian incursion into the Kursk Oblast region on August 6, it would appear that both the Russian Federation and the supporters of Ukraine were unprepared for the event.
