Fiorentina will aim to upset champions Inter Milan in the pick of Matchday 14 fixtures in Serie A, which will be played from Friday 29 November to Monday 2 December.

There is no better place to get your season-long ticket to the best football the world has to offer than DStv!

Fiorentina will host Inter at the Artemio Franchi Stadium on the early evening of Sunday 1 December, with La Viola chasing a first home win over the Nerazzurri since a legendary 5-4 triumph back in April 2017.

Fiorentina are working hard to push themselves further up the table after an inconsistent start to the season, according to assistant coach Stefano Citterio.

“We have been working for three months, we knew that initially we could have some difficulties,” noted Citterio. “Little by little with the work and thanks to the availability of the boys things are improving. We are reaping the fruits of the work. We are lucky to train a group of men even before footballers.”

He added, “[The defence] needs a lot of attention, but the mental aspect also counts. Our turning point came there. We managed to create a good group, a new group with many insertions. It took time to create the blend, now you can see it from the attitude on the field of those who start and those who come in. A synergy has been created that is fundamental.”

The round opens on Friday night with a clash between Cagliari and Verona, before Saturday features Monza visiting Como, AC Milan hosting Empoli at the San Siro, and Bologna tackling Venezia in the late kick-off.

Sunday will also feature Lazio, Napoli and Juventus facing away games against Parma, Torino and Lecce respectively, while Monday brings a round-closer between Roma and Atalanta at the Olimpico Stadium in ‘The Eternal City’.

Atalanta striker Mateo Retegui will look to continue his development into one of the league’s best attacking players, with former Italy international Antonio Cassano recently expressing his admiration for the Argentine-born 25-year-old.

“[Inter Milan’s] Lautaro [Martinez] is a world-class player, he deserves to be included in the top five of the Ballon d’Or. I’m happy for him, congratulations. Excluding Lautaro, in Italy there is Retegui. Retegui is much stronger than [Dusan] Vlahovic, [Romelu] Lukaku, [Artem] Dovbyk and all the others there are. [Alvaro] Morata is different, [Marcus] Thuram is different. And Retegui can still improve on many things.”
