To strengthen its roster and contend for the Ghana Premier League (GPL) championship, Asante Kotoko is preparing for a busy transfer window.

Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach, has disclosed that talks are already in progress to add several players to the team's roster to increase its depth and competitiveness.

Ogum claims that the team is aiming to bolster its roster by acquiring several important players.

"There are plenty. If all goes according to plan, there will be a lot of signings. After a great deal of discussion, we are confident that we will receive them," he said.

Ogum expressed hope that continued talks with possible targets will result in a favorable outcome, guaranteeing that the team is ready for the difficulties that lie ahead.

To strengthen the team, he continued, "We are hoping and praying that things change and even if they do, they move in our favor."

Kwame Opoku, a free agent, was already a big addition to the Porcupine Warriors' roster. Opoku, who played for Kotoko before spending time overseas, adds firepower and experience to the team's offensive line.

Regarding his relationship with Black Stars coach Otto Addo, Joseph Paintsil clarifies

In response to recent rumors that he and Black Stars coach Otto Addo were at odds, LA Galaxy star Joseph Paintsil has clarified their relationship.

Despite assertions to the contrary, the 26-year-old winger clarified that he and Addo have a good relationship.

Paintsil was conspicuously absent from Ghana's 2022 World Cup roster despite having a stellar season with LA Galaxy, scoring 10 goals during the regular season and four more during the playoffs as the team won the MLS title.

For the decision, Addo offered no justification. Because of a muscular ailment or his exclusion from the squad, Paintsil has only played eight minutes since Addo returned as coach.

"Otto Addo and I have a wonderful connection, not as many assume," Paintsil explained in an exclusive interview with 3Sports, despite rumors that suggested a tense relationship between the two. Otto Addo texts me to inquire about my well-being. He does not bother me. I am certain that he has no problems with me. Our relationship is good.

In March 2025, Paintsil hopes to rejoin the team for the upcoming game.
