At the Tuba Astroturf in Krokrobite, Accra, Asante Kotoko defeated Dreams FC 2-1 after a fierce battle to extend their winning streak.

In the first half, the Porcupine Warriors took charge and scored twice in three minutes. After a well-placed cutback, Yahaya Baba opened the score in the 40th minute with a close-range tap-home. Saaka Dauda gave Kotoko a decisive lead in the 43rd minute after bouncing on a rebound and doubling the lead.

In the second half, Dreams FC emerged stronger because they refused to give up. In the 58th minute, Joseph Esso cut the deficit in half, paving the way for a nerve-racking conclusion. Dreams failed to find the equalizer despite their best attempts.

The statistics showed a balanced match, with both teams sharing 50% of the possession and generating eight goal attempts apiece. However, Kotoko held the advantage due to its clinical finishing and more shots on goal.

This is Kotoko's third consecutive victory after victories over Hearts of Oak and Aduana Stars. Dreams FC lingers in the relegation zone, and they are still three points from the champions.

On Christmas Eve, Kotoko will play GoldStars, and Dreams will try to defeat Berekum Chelsea.

Mohammed Kudus, who scored against Brighton, explains his favored position.

Following his goal in West Ham United's 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion, Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has spoken out about his favored position on the field.

The 24-year-old, who scored his third goal of the 2024–2025 Premier League season, stated that he feels most at ease playing as an inside forward or inverted winger on the right side of the attack.

Kudus sat on a traditional Ghanaian stool with an elephant motif at the bottom to celebrate his accomplishment. In an interview following the game, he clarified that his celebration introduced the world to a little bit of Ghana.

"It was nice to score, and I scored from my natural position on the right. But the team comes first, and I will keep growing and learning to fit in wherever I am asked to play," Kudus stated.

Despite a five-match suspension, Kudus has made 12 Premier League games this season.
