Stephen Curry Hits 12 Three-Pointers, Drops 56 Points in Warriors’ Win Over Magic
Stephen Curry delivered yet another jaw-dropping performance, hitting 12 three-pointers and scoring a season-high 56 points as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Orlando Magic 121-115.
At 36 years old, Curry showed no signs of slowing down, especially in the third quarter, where he outscored the entire Magic team 22-21. One of the most electrifying moments came just before halftime when he drained a buzzer-beater from beyond half-court, leaving the crowd in awe.
Curry’s efficiency was on full display as he reached his massive scoring total on just 25 shots—making it the second-fewest field goal attempts in NBA history for a player scoring 55-plus points. The only player to achieve it with fewer shots was James Harden, who needed just 24 attempts in a 2019 game with the Houston Rockets.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr couldn’t help but praise Curry’s greatness.
“I thank the fans here tonight, even the Magic fans, know they’re witnessing the greatest shooter ever, and one of the greatest performers ever,” Kerr said. “It’s not just the shots going in—it’s the fluidity, the beauty of his movement, and his audacity to take those shots.”
Curry has now hit 12 or more three-pointers in a game three times in his career. His personal best remains 13, which he set against the New Orleans Pelicans in 2016. His career-high for points in a game is 62, achieved against the Portland Trail Blazers in 2021.
With this win, the Warriors extended their winning streak to five games, further solidifying their push for playoff positioning. As long as Curry is on the court, Golden State remains a serious threat to any team in the league.
