The Stallions head coach says his players won't believe the past but this once they face the Carthage Eagles

Burkina Faso coach Kamou Malo has laughed off claims they're the favourites heading into their Africa Cup of countries quarter-final clash against Tunisia at Roumde Adjia Stadium on Saturday.
The Stallions will head into the fixture armed with history as they need beaten the Carthage Eagles within the previous two quarter-final matches - (8-7 on penalties reception in 1998 and 2-0 within the 2017 edition in Gabon.
Article continues below ahead of their third meeting, Burkinable’s Malo believes history won't count and his players won't believe the past, but this “which is usually important.”
“The next match is qualifying for the semi-finals, so it's very difficult. we've determination to continue the journey and feel the responsibility,” Malo said as quoted by CafOnline.
“Our players are young and have the keenness to win and continue their way. Tunisia may be a good and cohesive team, but our side is armed with spirit and determination.
“The game won't be played on paper, but on the sector . we do not believe the past, but this is usually more important. we've a young ambitious team, and that we can write our present and future.”
Burkina Faso midfielder Adama Guira has described their meeting against the North African side as a final.
“We are delighted to be within the quarter-finals, and that we can't await the match which can be a final. All players are focused,” Guira explained.
“Our victory will contribute to easing things in our country and can make our people happy, and this is often what we are striving for. we've young players, but they're playing at the very best levels in Europe.
“The team is well prepared, and that we are among the simplest within the tournament. We keep improving game after game.”
Meanwhile, Tunisia assistant coach Jalel Kadri has said they're going to treat Burkina Faso because the strongest candidates for the title.
“Most of the teams that were candidates to play the quarter-finals are not any longer here, and this means the strength of the competition. All the teams within the quarter-finals are on an equivalent level,” said Kadri.

“The solidarity of the players and technical staff is what made us overcome the difficult circumstances and that we don't have the posh now to supply A level less than the last match. We respect all the teams, and that we will treat Burkina Faso because the strongest candidates for the title.
“We need to think thereupon mentality if we would like to urge far. we all know that the match are going to be difficult altogether aspects, but we'll affect it appropriately. I even have confidence altogether the players and every of them features a role within the game.”
